mixed images of these two cities, the meccas of American and European cinema. Personal impressions of these two capitals at the turn of the century, pointing out interesting details and clichés.

During PRIVATE PLAYGROUND, the third night's event, a video was projected showing three beautiful actresses, sensually dressed, taking part in a weird private game. In front of the camera, in the back of a neutral, industrial space, we saw a row of ten plastic chairs. The three girls, appearing and hiding behind the camera, struggled with each other in order to occupy a seat, while the chairs disappeared one by one. In the centre of the CCCB - entrance hall, were exhibited ten similar chairs, that were removed at the same time as the chairs appearing on the video-screen. In front of each of these seats were placed big posters showing famous 'femmes-fatales'. A mechanical soundtrack, composed by Rainier Lericolais accompanied the action.

With the performance LOVE IS COLDER... (the title refers to a famous black and white film of Rainer Werner Fassbinder), the cycle NON FICTION came to its end The installation evoked an improvised (minimal) filmset. While descending towards the central space of the hall, the public could observe how a motionless actress was lying on a platform in the middle of the darkened space. Two strong beams made it almost impossible to witness the scene. The girl's face was hidden by a black helmet and in her hand she held a small antenna that transmitted the music specially composed by Kris Be. The public could only listen to this soundtrack using wireless infra- red headphones which forced each viewer to look for his own ideal position and to write his own, personal scenario. Mental action replacing the real action...
